My Name is Ches Doyon

Currently based in Boston, Ches Doyon (they/them) is an illustrator working towards receiving their Masters of the Arts in Teaching. They have received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration with a minor in Creative Writing from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Previous they held a position as a Highschool Programs Specialist with 826 Boston which was a student-faced position within the organization.

As both an educator as well as an illustrator, there is a level of complexity and range present in Ches’s work and experience. As an illustrator, Ches’s main focus is the relationship written word and visual imagery in various formats. There is an emphasis on narrative through their pieces. As an educator, Ches strives for cohesiveness and direction with an work that includes social impact. This includes developing lessons that are straightforward., providing ample scaffolding for lessons no matter the length of the session, adjusting practice for the benefit of the audience, and more. This bleeds into their artist practice where their visual and written aspects much work in harmony to educator the viewer on any topic. Both sides work in conjunction to show the variety that is Ches and their artist practice.
